Orthodox icon of the Holy Family (written at the top as "ST. FAMILY").
Icon description:
Characters: Depicts the Virgin Mary (Theotokos), the righteous Joseph the Betrothed and the infant Jesus Christ in the center.
Style and workmanship: The icon is made in a traditional style on a wooden base with a gold patina (varak) in the background. Around the heads of the figures there are halos with relief ornaments.
Symbolism: This plot symbolizes the family hearth, shared love, parental care and protection of the home.
The icon was hand painted on wood, in the second half of the 20th century.
