A beautiful set of two original revolving ashtrays from the iconic Cylinda-Line series, designed by the world-renowned Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen in 1967 for Stelton.
The Cylinda-Line series is a cornerstone of Danish Modern design, characterized by its minimalist, cylindrical silhouette and satin-finished stainless steel. These ashtrays feature the ingenious revolving lid, designed to hide ash and prevent odors from escaping—a perfect marriage of form and function.
The series was awarded the ID-prize in 1967 and remains a permanent part of the collections at MoMA (New York) and the Victoria & Albert Museum (London).
Specifications:
Design: Arne Jacobsen
Manufacturer: Stelton, Denmark

Note to bidders:
One of the ashtrays bear the Stelton hallmark on the bottom, the other one doesn't. These timeless pieces are no longer just for tobacco; they are frequently used by collectors as stylish containers for snacks, olive pits, or simply as decorative sculptures on a sideboard.
