Offered for sale is a Sony WM-DD33 DD Quartz Walkman in the rare silver finish.

The WM-DD33 is part of Sony’s highly regarded DD series and features the famous Quartz Locked Disc Drive mechanism, Dolby B Noise Reduction and Mega Bass. The DD models are among the most sought-after Walkmans ever produced and remain highly desirable among collectors worldwide.

The unit is in very attractive cosmetic condition with normal signs of age and use. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed assessment of the condition. The battery compartment is clean and free from corrosion. Made in Japan.

The Walkman plays cassette tapes, fast forward and rewind are working, and all controls respond as intended. During operation, the typical clicking noise often associated with DD-series models can be heard. It becomes more noticeable and louder during fast forward and rewind. This is most likely related to the well-known center gear, a common characteristic of many units from this series. Nevertheless, the device is currently fully functional.
