Orivit AG was a major German Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) metalworking company founded in 1894 in Cologne-Ehrenfeld under the leadership of Wilhelm Ferdinand Hubert Schmitz. They became known for their pewter alloy, which they used under the brand name "Orivit" from 1898, and for their high-quality copper and brass objects, often combined with glass, before being acquired by WMF in 1905.
