Warren Platner for Knoll – Model 1705 Lounge Chair. Iconic Model 1705 “Throne” lounge chair, designed by Warren Platner for Knoll. This is an early production example featuring the original patinated bronze-plated steel wire base. Later versions were finished in painted metal. The chair has been professionally reupholstered in Kvadrat Tonus 4 fabric, color 474 copper/brown, which beautifully complements the black bronze frame. The sculptural silhouette is created by hundreds of gracefully bent and welded steel rods, forming a timeless and highly recognizable design. The chair is generously proportioned and offers excellent seating comfort. Original Knoll Associates manufacturer labels are present under the seat. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Frame shows a beautiful, even patina consistent with age. Upholstery is new and unused. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
