Born in the early 1960s — an era when Japanese watchmaking began its challenge to the world — the Seiko-Matic 15031 is a celebrated vintage automatic timepiece. It is powered by Caliber 603, one of Seiko's earliest full-fledged automatic movements, and features the 20-jewel construction with Diashock anti-shock protection, which was considered cutting-edge technology at the time. This watch is known as a symbolic piece from the period when Seiko proposed the era of "no hand-winding required."
Currently running. The case diameter is approximately 36mm (excluding crown), lug width approximately 19mm, and thickness approximately 10mm — a refined size that remains comfortable for modern wear. This individual piece carries the unique character and presence that only more than 60 years of history can bring, making it an attractive addition to any Japanese vintage watch collection or Seiko collection. Minor scratches and signs of use consistent with its age are present, testament to the time it has kept.
