The Maxell Metal Vertex is a flagship, audiophile-grade Type IV (Metal) blank audio cassette produced in Japan between 1988 and 1992. Revered by collectors and studio enthusiasts, it featured an advanced "Techno-Silver" back-coated metal formulation and an overbuilt, heavily damped shell to minimize resonance. The cassette is factory sealed (NOS), but please note that the cellophane pull tab is slightly dog-eared . The rest of the wrapping is intact. To avoid any misunderstandings: the cassette has no water damage. What appears in the photos is simply an air bubble between the case and the cellophane wrapping. The rest of the wrapping is fully intact, tight, and in great vintage condition.
