绝对拍卖 - 签名麒麟(Kirin)的根付,黄杨木制手工雕刻的神兽,日本制造 - 木材, 黃楊木 - 日本 - 昭和年代(1926-1989)
A finely hand-carved Japanese netsuke depicting a Qilin (Kirin), one of the most revered mythical creatures in East Asian tradition and a symbol of prosperity, wisdom, protection, and auspicious fortune.
This impressive piece is carved from high-quality boxwood (Buxus) and displays intricate openwork details, flowing decorative patterns, and a dynamic stance. The expressive face, powerful body, and elegantly curved tail reflect the skill of the carver and the enduring appeal of traditional Japanese netsuke art.
The signature is present but partially worn and difficult to read, appearing to begin with the character "Matsu" (松).
A desirable collector's item for enthusiasts of Japanese netsuke, mythical creatures, and traditional wood carvings.
