A boxwood miniature mask depicting Hotei 布袋, the Laughing Buddha. Boldly carved with a jovial expression, the mask shows Hotei’s characteristic round and plump face. The pierced mouth forms a wide, joyful smile revealing the teeth, while the slightly squinted eyes and elongated earlobes enhance the expressive and cheerful appearance. Unsigned.
