Sets preserved at this level are exceptionally uncommon. The original shipping labels on both boxes indicate delivery from the same dealer to the same customer, suggesting that the receiver and tape recorder have remained together since new. The system was recently inspected and tested by an experienced Tandberg specialist who estimates that several thousand Tandberg units have passed through his workshop over the years. His immediate assessment was that this was among the most remarkably preserved Tandberg sets he had encountered.
