Elegant Herend Apponyi Green porcelain plate set with a refined and timeless appearance that brings luxury to any festive table.

Each piece bears the impressed HEREND mark on the base, a blue underglaze factory mark, and form number 517.

Produced in the 1970s–1980s.

The Apponyi pattern has an important place in Herend’s history. During the 1867 Paris World Exhibition, tables at the Élysée Palace were set with Herend services decorated in the Apponyi pattern for a reception held in honour of Emperor Franz Joseph. Count Albert Apponyi later requested a simplified version of the Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) decoration, resulting in this elegant and restrained design. Herend artisans continue to produce the pattern in several colour variations, including green (AV).

Condition:
Six plates are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration.

One plate has a visible hairline crack (see last photo). Minimal age-related wear may be present.
