25. ACCA XF, Three Kingdoms Period - Cao Wei Wuzhu, Two Stamps Sold Together. The Wei Kingdom of the Three Kingdoms period (December 11, 220 – February 4, 266, historically known as Cao Wei, Great Wei, Wei Dynasty, or Wei State) had five emperors and lasted approximately 46 years. It was a regime located in the north during the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It began in 220 when Cao Pi accepted the abdication of Emperor Xian of Han, replacing the Han Dynasty with Wei. When Cao Cao was enfeoffed as Duke of Wei, he established the vassal state of Wei. Later, Cao Cao's son, Cao Pi, became emperor, adopting "Wei" as the name of his state. Because it was a Cao family regime, it is historically known as "Cao Wei" to distinguish it from other regimes named "Wei." Wei was the most powerful and largest regime during the Three Kingdoms period; due to its control of the Central Plains, Cao Wei had the largest population of the three kingdoms. The most important political reform during this period was Chen Qun's Nine-Rank System, which had a profound impact on the politics of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The Three Kingdoms period was a very special time in Chinese history. Due to the political strife and numerous regimes, the development of currency stagnated, resulting in a scarcity of Three Kingdoms coins. This set of coins, featuring two beautiful pieces, is being auctioned together, and collectors should not miss this opportunity.
