Vintage rOtring Rapidoscript lettering machine / technical drawing instrument, box reference R 692023, made in Germany.

The lot includes the rOtring Rapidoscript unit, original box, instruction manual, Rapidoscript cassette documentation, several rOtring cassettes, and a FRIWO power adapter. The power adapter is included with the lot but is not guaranteed to be the original rOtring power supply.

The machine has been partially tested. It powers on and the pen/carriage mechanism moves, but only with small horizontal movements. The ENTER key returns the mechanism to the starting position. The pen does not appear to extend correctly by itself and does not properly reach the paper. If the pen is pulled out manually, it can almost write correctly, but the mechanism sometimes makes a scraping/grinding noise. For this reason, the machine is sold as partially working and in need of adjustment, service or repair.

Used vintage condition, with visible signs of age and use. The original box shows wear, creases and damage, as shown in the photos.

Sold as a vintage collector’s item, for restoration, technical interest, display or spare parts.
