拐杖 (2) - .925 銀 - 伯明翰 1907年
An elegant pair of antique walking canes dating to 1907, each fitted with hallmarked sterling silver mounts assayed in Birmingham.
The first cane is crafted from richly grained hardwood with a traditional crook handle, featuring an engraved sterling silver decorative collar and a matching silver end cap to the handle. The silver mounts retain clear Birmingham hallmarks for 1907, adding both authenticity and decorative appeal. The second cane is made from partridge wood, displaying its characteristic finely striped grain, and features a silver-mounted crook handle. The handle is fitted with a hallmarked sterling silver terminal, while the original silver ferrule also bears matching Birmingham 1907 hallmarks. Together they form an attractive Edwardian pair, displaying the understated elegance and craftsmanship associated with British walking sticks of the period.
Good antique condition overall. Both canes show age-related wear, including surface marks, scratches and patina consistent with over a century of use. The hardwood cane has wear to the lower end and its ferrule is no longer present. The partridge wood cane has a noticeable split to the crook handle, as shown in the photographs. It retains its original hallmarked sterling silver terminal and hallmarked silver ferrule (Birmingham 1907). Please study the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
