A selection of 66 single stamps mounted on 2 album pages. The stamps are obliterated with gros chiffre (40), etoile de Paris (25), and CaD rouge des imprimes (1) cancellations. Many of the gros chiffre cancellations are of Lyon (2145, 2145A, 2145D) but one in particular is of considerable rarity - 2145F Lyon Exposition Universelle. This event was scheduled for 1871 but put back to 1872 due to the Franco-Prussian War, and held on the Parc de la Tete d'Or. It was largely a failure and the company organising the exhibition filed for bankruptcy. Hence the short period of use for this postmark. The etoile de Paris cancellations include 6 different bureaux. 7 stamps show minor flaws. A lot with considerable interest for the postmark collector.
