Ruby red, more or less pale when young, tending towards garnet hues with age.
On the nose is characteristic, intense, and delicate, with dominant notes of raspberry and violet, fruity, lightly woody, and spicy. The flavor is dry and crisp, warm, full-bodied and harmonious, with soft, almost sweet tannins due to aging in wooden barrels; remarkable persistence.
