Rare Folding Neo-Renaissance Carved Solid Wood Conversation Set – Late 19th / Early 20th Century

Elegant and rare conversation set consisting of two folding armchairs and a matching table, crafted from finely carved solid wood and attributable to European production dating from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century.

The set stands out for its distinctive architectural design composed of curved parallel wooden elements creating a refined sculptural appearance. The characteristic crossed wave-shaped bases give the furniture a remarkable visual presence and demonstrate high-quality craftsmanship.

The two armchairs feature richly carved backrests decorated with floral motifs, scrollwork and Neo-Renaissance ornamental details. The elegantly pierced armrests, ending with turned finials, complete a harmonious and highly decorative ensemble. The central table faithfully follows the same design language, creating a perfectly coordinated composition.
