Theca Reliquary – Blessed Elisabetta Renzi
Type of object: Catholic pocket reliquary / liturgical medallion (theca).
Year: Circa 1989 (the period of beatification by Pope John Paul II).
Country of origin: Italy.
Total weight: 9.4 grams (according to the official weighing in the images).
Material: Two-tone metal alloy (satin silver and gold details), glass, wax, silk.
This object does NOT contain human remains, bone fragments or anatomical elements. At the center of the decoration is exclusively a relic of the "Ex Indumentis" type (a small fragment of the textile material of the clothes / vestments worn by the venerable) or "Ex Contactu" type (object touched by the sacred tomb), being a piece of spiritual devotion and a purely textile/symbolic collection.
Front: Round capsule set in an elegant star-shaped frame with bicolor rays. Under the protective glass is a red silk support decorated with a handmade flower of 8 petals. At the bottom is the original identification label printed on paper: "B. Elisabetta Renzi" (coming from the Blessed).
Back (Authentication System): The back of the capsule preserves the official sealing system of the congregation intact. Two red silk threads pass through the side walls of the metal and are secured in the center with a red Spanish wax seal, complete and uncracked.
Iconography of the Seal: The wax-printed mold represents the official coat of arms of the order founded by her (Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows / Suore Maestre Pie dell'Addolorata): a heart surmounted by a cross, surrounded by a crown of thorns and laurel branches.
Complete: The piece is perfectly preserved. The wax seal on the back shows no cracks or missing pieces, guaranteeing that the interior of the capsule has not been opened or modified. The metal has a natural, fine patina, typical of its age. The piece is sold with its protective brass cover (visible in the secondary photos
