This finely detailed Thangka is an Ashtamangala Mandala, a sacred geometric representation of the universe centered around the Eight Auspicious Symbols. These symbols (the Lotus, Endless Knot, Golden Fish, Victory Banner, Wheel of Dharma, Treasure Vase, Parasol, and Conch Shell) represent different aspects of the enlightened mind and the path to liberation. Iconography: Central seated deity surrounded by eight secondary circles, each containing one of the Ashtamangala symbols. The landscape features stylized Himalayan peaks at both the top and bottom borders.
