A perfect little miniature rhodochrosite specimen from Peru, which features a small main red scalenohedron surrounded by supporting ones and minor galena and pyrolusite accents scattered around the aesthetically shaped matrix all the crystals are perched on. After Colorado and South Africa, Peru has been one of the great world-class rhodochrosite sources for the mineral world, with Uchucchacua being the main producer of this prized mineral until rather recently.
