Model History: The Seikomatic-R line was introduced in the mid-1960s as an upper-tier evolution of the Seikomatic family, offering higher jewel counts, improved finishing, and Seiko’s early hand-winding automatic calibres. The Calibre 8305 represented a significant step in movement refinement, combining automatic winding with manual winding capability and a smooth, reliable date mechanism. This reference features the clean, elegant case design typical of Seiko’s early dress watches, paired with a beautifully restrained silver sunburst dial.
