Vintage chair in the Scandinavian modernism style, Poland (PRL), circa 1965–1973, professionally restored

Presented chair is an excellent example of Polish utilitarian design from the PRL period, created under the strong influence of 1960s Scandinavian modernism. Its simple, harmonious form, tapered legs, and distinctive back with three horizontal slats reference the timeless aesthetic of Danish design, which at the time exerted a significant influence on designers in Central and Eastern Europe.

Although the original manufacturer's label did not survive, the construction, manufacturing techniques, and materials used strongly suggest production in Poland in the mid-1960s to early 1970s. The chair is made of solid beech wood, using traditional carpentry joints. Under the upholstered seat there is an original plywood element with a handwritten assembly mark made with pencil – typical for serial production of that period.

The piece underwent a complete professional restoration:
- the wood was cleaned and refinished,
- the frame was checked and stabilized,
- the seat received new foam and high-quality upholstery in a subdued green color.

The restoration was carried out with respect for the original form and proportions of the furniture.

Today, such chairs are valued by collectors and Mid-Century Modern enthusiasts because they perfectly combine functionality with minimalist design. This is a piece of furniture that fits both contemporary interiors and a vintage furniture collection.
