A fine cloisonné enamel vase of elegant baluster form, decorated against a vibrant lemon-yellow ground. The body is finely worked with a flowering composition of white plum blossoms 梅 (ume), a white chrysanthemum 菊 (kiku) and pink peonies 牡丹 (botan), all rendered in delicately shaded enamels with finely detailed foliage. The vase is finished with silver mounts to the mouth and foot. The underside bears a “silver" mark. Period: Japan – Taishô period (1912-1926) Dimensions: Height: 24.7 cm; Diameter: 13.5 cm. The vase is in very good condition with only minimal assigns of age. Please refer to the photographs for a clear impression of the condition.
