Pair of Dutch Silver Sugar Spoons in Original Presentation Box – 833 Silver – 1930
Elegant pair of Dutch silver sugar spoons, crafted in 833/1000 silver and preserved in their original fitted retailer's presentation box from J. Wieringa, Goud- Zilver- Horloges, Utrecht.
Both spoons are made in an elegant Art Deco-inspired design with twisted stems, finely engraved geometric handles with stylised floral decoration, and beautifully shaped shell-like bowls. The matching pair is ideal for serving loose sugar, sugar cubes or fine confectionery during tea or coffee service.
The spoons bear the Dutch Lion Passant 2nd standard (833 silver), the date letter "V" for 1930, and the maker's mark VH (maker unidentified). The original fitted retailer's box enhances both the presentation and collectability of the set.
A refined example of Dutch silver craftsmanship from the early 20th century.
