Earth And Fire

这支荷兰乐队由女歌手 Jerney Kaagman、双胞胎兄弟 Chris 与 Gerard Koerts（Chris 负责吉他，Gerard 负责键盘）、贝斯 Hans Ziech，以及鼓手 Ton v.d. Kleij 组成。Earth & Fire 曾有不少热门曲，如《Seasons》（1969）、《Ruby is the One》（1970）、《Wild & Exciting》（1970）、《Invitation》（1971，当时仅以单曲形式发行）、《Memories》（1972）等，且还有更多。事实上，Song of the Marching Children 也曾在荷兰有过热曲《Storm & Thunder》（但为单曲发行做了编辑）。本专辑发行时，乐队开始在键盘配置中加入 Mellotron 和合成器（以及从一开始就使用的 Hammond 风琴），并包含一段同专辑长度的史诗曲。

Earth & Fire 在此过程中创作出一些伟大的专辑。早期的 Atlantis（1973）和 Song of the Marching Children（1971）值得推荐。To the World of the Future（1975）发现乐队在探索更多合成器，迪斯科倾向也开始浮现。其他专辑包括 Gate to Infinity（1977）、Reality Fills Fantasy（1979）、Andromeda Girl（1981）、In State of Flux（1982），以及他们在1989年重聚的专辑 Phoenix。
