A scarce silver commemorative issue from Ras Al Khaimah, commemorating former U.S. President and World War II General Dwight D. Eisenhower, issued shortly after his death in 1969.

The obverse features a detailed portrait of Eisenhower with the inscriptions “DWIGHT EISENHOWER” and “1890–1969.” The reverse displays the denomination 10 RIYALS, the date 1970, Arabic inscriptions and the issuing authority.

Struck in 925 fine silver with a gross weight of 30 grams, this is an attractive and historically interesting Middle Eastern commemorative issue, particularly appealing to collectors of Gulf States, U.S. presidential commemoratives and silver coins.
