This is a fossil specimen of a Mesozoic salamander, preserved within laminated, fine-grained sedimentary rock. The fossil reveals the outlines of a relatively complete head, trunk, long tail, and limb skeletons, showcasing the elongated body structure and morphological traits adapted to both aquatic and terrestrial life.
