RARE RENATO ZEVI SIDE TABLE IN CHROME-PLATED METAL, BRASS AND SMOKED GLASS – ITALY, 1970s

Refined square side table by Renato Zevi, manufactured in Italy during the 1970s and belonging to the same line as the coordinated bar cart offered separately at auction.

Together, the two pieces form a rare coordinated ensemble, characterized by the same double-frame construction in chrome-plated metal and brass or gilt metal, combined with original smoked-glass surfaces.

The table is a characteristic expression of Italian Hollywood Regency, a style in which the geometric rigour of modernist design is combined with luminous and luxurious materials.

Its structure features a sophisticated double metal frame: the outer chrome-plated profiles enclose a second inner framework in brass or gilt metal. The contrast between the silver- and gold-toned surfaces creates an elegant graphic effect, enhanced by the linear proportions and precisely constructed joints.
