Vintage Zorad 18K Gold and Diamond Textured Brooch, Italy, 1970s

An exceptional statement brooch attributed to Zorad, crafted in solid 18 karat gold (hallmarked 750), showcasing the sculptural, richly textured “bark” finish characteristic of Italian goldsmithing from the 1970s.

Design
The brooch is built up in multiple undulating, hand-finished layers of hammered and stippled yellow gold, radiating outward from a central white gold frame. The organic, free-form silhouette evokes tree bark or rippling water, a hallmark of the bold sculptural jewelry style popular in Italy during this period.

Diamonds
Set within the wave-form white gold inner frame are 12 round brilliant-cut diamonds, of very good quality, prong-set to follow the sinuous curve of the mount and catch the light against the textured gold surround
