Set of 5 Hand-Carved Stone Intaglios – From an Old Private Collection A collection of five hand-carved stone intaglios from an old private family collection of more than 250 pieces. The collection was inherited by my husband from his father after his passing in 1970 and later passed to me. The collection includes carvings inspired by Roman, Greek, Egyptian and Persian subjects. These pieces are made from genuine stone and are hand-carved, not glass. The exact country, date and workshop of manufacture are unknown, as no original documentation has survived. They may have been produced in different countries. The five pieces shown in the photographs are sold together as one lot.
