SAFIR 1 is the smallest and most delicate composition in the collection. It consists of twenty cobalt shards of fractured glass – irregular, varied in texture, sometimes perfectly smooth, sometimes softly opalescent. Its light and graceful form gives it an air of elegance, while the vivid hue of the glass adds character and depth.

The glass pieces in SAFIR 1 are suspended on braided fibre optics that enter the glass and illuminate it from within.
