An impressive and finely decorated antique Ottoman ewer (Ibrik/Aftaba), dating back to the 19th century (or earlier). This traditional vessel is a beautiful example of Islamic metalwork, showcasing the rich utilitarian and decorative heritage of the Ottoman Empire. Crafted primarily from copper with a wonderful, authentic aged patina, the ewer features intricate, hand-engraved geometric and floral tinned motifs across its entire body, neck, and spout. Condition Report: In good antique condition with signs of age and historical use that enhance its character. Displays a gorgeous, untouched oxidized patina with visible verdigris (greenish tarnish) inside the lid, rim, and base areas. There are minor dents, surface wear, and signs of old craftsmanship joints (such as a visible seam/repair line on the body consistent with its age and authentic manufacturing process).
