賣家描述
G. Fryns & Co. Hasselt – Large Art Nouveau Stoneware Gin Jug – Belgium – circa 1900–1915
An impressive and uncommon Art Nouveau stoneware gin jug produced by G. Fryns & Co., Hasselt, one of Belgium's most renowned ceramic manufacturers of the early twentieth century. The impressed factory mark on the underside identifies the piece as a production of the famous Manufacture de Céramiques Décoratives de Hasselt, celebrated for its high-quality decorative pottery and distinctive flowing glazes.
The elegant tapered silhouette is enhanced by a long sculptural handle decorated with stylised Art Nouveau foliage. The beautiful olive-green, brown and cream running glaze creates a soft organic appearance, perfectly reflecting the naturalistic aesthetics of the Art Nouveau movement.
Originally intended as a decorative jenever or liqueur jug, this large example is today an eye-catching collector's piece that fits equally well in Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts or contemporary interiors.
Condition
Good antique condition considering its age. There is a chip to the lower edge/base, visible in the photographs. The photos form an integral part of the description.

Height: approximately 38.5 cm
Foot diameter: approximately 11 cm
Weight: approximately 1.8 kg
