Collector Appeal The Alter Ego is one of the more unusual TAG Heuer collections of its period and has become particularly interesting for collectors looking beyond the better-known Formula 1, Carrera and Link families. Diamond-set and mother-of-pearl versions represent the luxury end of the collection. Comparable factory diamond Alter Ego models were originally positioned around the €3,000 luxury segment, depending on reference and configuration. Condition The watch is in good pre-owned condition, presenting very attractively for its age. There are visible normal surface scratches and signs of use on the polished stainless-steel case and bracelet, as shown clearly in the photographs. No attempt has been made to hide these age-related marks. The mother-of-pearl dial presents beautifully and the diamond-set bezel gives the watch considerably more presence than the standard Alter Ego versions.
