Vintage Japanese Echizen ware chawan matcha tea bowl, handcrafted by Miyabayashi Jidai of Futakami Kiln, dated 1971 (Shōwa 46).
Lush, abundant glaze with translucent, lustrous finish. Smooth and mellow tactile quality, ideal for preparing matcha or brewing green tea. It embodies quiet wabi-sabi aesthetic essence of Japanese tea ceremony.
Handmade pottery, inscribed maker’s mark on base.
Comes complete with original paulownia tomobako wooden storage box, silk cloth and artist paper certificate.
Condition: Near-mint vintage condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. All photos show the actual item.
