Hi there, I am a Dutch artist with an academic background in Psychology and a professional career in Human Resources. Although my professional life has focused on people and organisations, art has always been an essential part of my identity. I grew up in a creative family, surrounded by artistic relatives. My father, who is also a painter, has been a particularly important influence on my development. The name Defiyoko comes from the nickname he gave me, creating a personal connection to my family history and artistic identity. For many years, I painted mainly for family and friends while gradually developing my own visual language. Inspired by psychology, I explore emotions, perception and inner experiences through colour, form and atmosphere. My paintings aim to communicate personal stories and evoke feelings beyond words. I am now making my work professionally available to a wider audience, creating each painting with care and intention. My work is currently available to collectors through platforms such as Catawiki. I do not currently have a personal website.
