This lot contains used postage stamps mounted on twenty vintage printed album pages. Countries featured: United States, Romania, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Czechoslovakia and France (including French Colonies), The collection spans from the late 19th century through the 20th century, covering many different themes including national emblems, famous persons, historical events, architecture, sport, airmail and commemorative issues. Stamps are affixed to the old album pages using stamp hinges. There is a postcard collection includes British Post Office First Day Covers: the 1974 Fire Service and 1979 Police commemorative sets. It also features vintage used picture postcards from Switzerland, France and other European countries, plus a Malawi airmail postal cover. Further pages hold Irish, French and other international postal stationery, together with modern Royal Mail Christmas postal items. Condition Report All stamps are postally used with cancellations. Most perforations are intact. The album pages show heavy signs of age: paper toning, edge wear, tears, chips and missing portions along margins. Some hinge residue remains on pages and the backs of stamps. A few stamps have minor faults including short perfs, thin spots or creases, visible in photos. Sold as seen in the photographs, not expertised. Covers & postcards generally good used condition. Minor age-related toning, light corner wear, some postmark smudging. No major tears or heavy creases. Album sleeves intact.
