A vintage Chinese Yixing Zisha Shuiping teapot, produced by Yixing Zisha Factory No. 1, dating to approximately the mid to late 1970s. The teapot is made from zini (purple clay) and is a particularly small example of the classic Shuiping form, with a capacity of approximately 40 cc. This small 40 cc size is less commonly encountered than the standard larger Shuiping formats, making it an interesting example for collectors of vintage Factory No. 1 Yixing teapots. Despite its small dimensions, the teapot retains the characteristic balanced proportions of the traditional Shuiping form, with a rounded body, straight spout and loop handle. It features a traditional single-hole spout. The underside bears an impressed four-character seal mark reading “Zhongguo Yixing” (中国宜兴 / China Yixing).
