Beautiful polished slice of the Sericho pallasite meteorite, weighing 2 grams.

This specimen displays the characteristic structure of a pallasite, with translucent golden-green olivine crystals embedded within an iron-nickel metallic matrix. Under transmitted light, the olivine becomes especially striking, revealing warm amber, golden and green tones.

The slice has been carefully polished and is protected with a clear resin coating, helping to reduce exposure to moisture and minimize the risk of oxidation of the metallic matrix. The resin also allows the internal structure and translucent olivine crystals to remain clearly visible.

Sericho was officially recognized after meteorite material from the Habaswein area of Kenya was identified in 2016. Pallasites are among the most visually distinctive meteorites and represent differentiated material formed during the early history of the Solar System.
