During his residency at the International Ceramics Studio in Hungary, Roger Coll had the opportunity to experiment with tools, processes, techniques and clays he did not usually work with. There, Happy Collapse materialized, a clear reference to architecture and to Roger Coll’s past as a technical architect. A metaphor for the feeling that everything can collapse, the fall of a building. A sensation of instability, while at the same time transmitting a strong optimism through color and finish. Roger Coll Roger Coll belongs to this new generation of artists who rethink ceramics without many complexes and are located outside the traditional categories.
