Omega Constellation CD 168.004 – Cal. 561 – Gold Cap / Steel – Original Dial – 1966 Offered here is a beautifully preserved Omega Constellation Chronometer, reference CD 168.004, dating to approximately 1966 and powered by the automatic Omega Calibre 561. The watch features a refined silver sunburst dial with applied gold hour markers, applied Omega logo, framed date window at 3 o’clock and the signature Constellation script with applied star. The dial is original and unrestored, retaining a very clean and elegant vintage appearance. The case is the original gold-capped stainless-steel Omega case, paired with the characteristic recessed crown design associated with this reference. The stainless-steel screw back carries the classic Constellation Observatory medallion. The inside of the case back is correctly signed and marked with reference CD 168.004. Inside is the chronometer-grade automatic Omega Calibre 561, fitted with 24 jewels and date function. The movement serial number is: 23,048,905 This serial places the watch at 1966. The case is in excellent vintage condition, showing no signs of use. The original dial is especially well preserved, with crisp printing, attractive applied details and a strong sunburst finish. The watch is fitted with signed with Omega black natural leather strap. The gold-tone buckle is aftermarket.
