### Description This exquisite antique Chinese cloisonné enamel small dish features a striking dragon motif at its center, rendered with vibrant green and yellow enamels set against fine wirework. The dragon is depicted in a powerful facing position (Frontal Dragon), surrounded by traditional stylized cloud motifs. The fine copper wiring and classic enamel coloration highlight the intricate craftsmanship of traditional Chinese cloisonné metalwork. It makes a fine addition to any collection of Asian art or antique Chinese enamels. ### Motif Background: The Dragon & Clouds In Chinese culture and mythology, the dragon (Long) is a supreme symbol of power, good fortune, imperial authority, and divine protection. Depicted among clouds, the dragon represents control over rain, water, and the natural elements. The frontal dragon position, in particular, was traditionally associated with high status and grandeur. ### Condition Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Shows minor fine crazing (natural surface lines/cracks in the enamel), light scratches, surface marks, tarnishing, and slight enamel wear/patina consistent with age and use. The fine crazing is characteristic of antique cloisonné and does not affect its structural integrity. Please refer carefully to the detailed photos to assess the exact condition.
