The Artist and the Style

Affortunato Gory (or Gori):

My Discoveries
Art Deco period (circa 1920):

Elements of Authentication
Signature "A. Gory": 按艺术家的习惯，在露台（青铜底座）的凹槽中刻有"A.
Unique numbering "43090":

Dimensions and State
The proportions (29 cm for the subject alone and 37 cm in total with the marble) make it a medium-sized sculpture, ideal for placing on a desk or fireplace.
The term "Very Good State" (TBE) is a key factor: the preservation of the original patina and the integrity of the black veined marble maximise its financial value.
Estimate (2026)
The insurance value of €1,500 is completely consistent and realistic. Although large pieces of marble or chryselephantine (bronze and ivory) from Gory can reach several thousand euros, an edition bronze with brown patina of this size (37 cm) with a very good state of preservation is generally traded in this price range on the current art market.
