SAMIA KERKENI - WHERE TWO WORLDS MEET

SAMIA KERKENI — WHERE TWO WORLDS MEET — 2022 UNIQUE ORIGINAL ACRYLIC POURING AND ARTISTIC PIGMENTS ON CANVAS Artist: Samia Kerkeni Title: Where Two Worlds Meet Year: 2022 Medium: Acrylic pouring and artistic pigments on canvas Dimensions: 50 × 50 × 1 cm Rarity: Unique original artwork — 1/1 Signature: Hand-signed “S. Kerkeni” on the front; signed and fully documented on the reverse Condition: Excellent — new, never displayed Frame: Not included Certificate of Authenticity: Included, issued by Abstract Art Gallery Series: Mineral Energy Series Provenance: Abstract Art Gallery, Riga Where Two Worlds Meet explores the beauty that emerges when two opposing forces encounter one another. Across the composition, luminous turquoise, icy white and mineral grey meet powerful passages of rust, copper, ochre and deep black. These contrasting chromatic territories appear to collide, dissolve and gradually become inseparable. The meeting point between the two worlds forms the emotional centre of the artwork. Rather than creating division, the contrast generates movement, transformation and a new visual harmony. The composition may evoke water meeting earth, ice encountering volcanic matter, a coastline observed from above or two distant landscapes merging into a single living territory. Kerkeni deliberately leaves the imagery open, allowing every viewer to discover a personal interpretation within the flowing pigments. FLUID ABSTRACTION AND ORGANIC STRUCTURES The artwork was created through a controlled acrylic pouring process using professional acrylic colours and artistic pigments. The canvas was worked horizontally, allowing the pigments to move, interact and form natural transitions. Kerkeni carefully guided the flow while preserving the spontaneous reactions occurring between colours of different densities. Turquoise and white spread into delicate currents and cellular formations. Copper, rust and black gather into denser mineral structures. Between them, fine lines and organic patterns create the impression of erosion, sediment, foam, geological matter and moving water. The technique combines artistic control with the natural behaviour of fluid paint. Although the general movement is directed by the artist, the smallest formations can never be recreated identically. This makes Where Two Worlds Meet a genuinely unique and unreproducible original artwork. COLOUR AND SYMBOLISM The cool side of the composition is dominated by turquoise, white and mineral grey. These colours suggest clarity, openness, water, air and renewal. The warmer territory brings together rust, copper, ochre and deep black, evoking earth, fire, strength and geological memory. Their encounter expresses the possibility of harmony between apparent opposites. The work suggests that transformation does not require one force to erase the other. Something new can begin precisely at the point where differences meet. The composition carries a message of connection, balance and positive transformation. ARTIST’S HANDWRITTEN MESSAGE On the reverse, Samia Kerkeni has handwritten the following words: “Where two worlds meet, something beautiful begins.” This inscription forms an integral part of the artwork and reinforces its conceptual meaning. THE ARTIST Born in 1980, Samia Kerkeni is a contemporary artist whose practice explores matter, colour, movement and the interaction of light with fluid surfaces. A doctor and researcher, she brings a spirit of experimentation and observation to her artistic process. Her abstract compositions are inspired by oceans, invisible currents, mineral formations and the continual transformation of matter. Working with acrylic, artistic pigments, pouring and mixed techniques, Kerkeni creates compositions in which colour behaves like a living force. Cool blues and turquoises frequently encounter brilliant whites, mineral greys, warm earth tones and metallic accents. Each artwork is developed through a gradual and carefully observed process. The artist balances control and spontaneity, guiding the material while allowing organic formations to emerge naturally. Her works are represented internationally by Abstract Art Gallery, Riga. SIGNATURE AND AUTHENTICATION The artwork is hand-signed “S. Kerkeni” on the front. The reverse contains the artist’s signature, complete artwork information and handwritten poetic message. Where Two Worlds Meet explores the beauty that emerges when two opposing forces encounter one another.

FLUID ABSTRACTION AND ORGANIC STRUCTURES

The artwork was created through a controlled acrylic pouring process using professional acrylic colours and artistic pigments.

Their encounter expresses the possibility of harmony between apparent opposites. The work suggests that transformation does not require one force to erase the other. Something new can begin precisely at the point where differences meet.

The composition carries a message of connection, balance and positive transformation.
