Exceptional 18th-century English wine glass, Georgian period, circa 1760–1770.

A beautiful antique hand-blown glass, certified as an 18th-century piece by an antique dealer, featuring an elegant flared bowl, a distinctive rounded knop and, most notably, a spectacular opaque white twist stem, characteristic of prestigious English opaque twist glasses of the 18th century.

The intricate white spiral was produced and incorporated into the clear glass while hot, creating a highly refined and distinctive decorative effect. The glass also retains the subtle natural irregularities and inclusions associated with early hand-blown glassmaking.

A genuine and highly decorative collector’s piece, demonstrating the exceptional craftsmanship of English glassmakers during the Georgian period.

A remarkable antique glass with great character and historical appeal
