This lot presents a highly detailed uranium glass plaque featuring a cicada insect from cicadidae family created in the early 2000s. The technique in wich this stunning plaque was executed is by firing in a kiln through lost wax, resulting in an almost identical copy of an cicada made out of glass material. Attributed to DAS glass casting studio - one of the few professional glass cast artisans from Eastern Europe, very experimented in firing glass casts of the highest standards after small wildlife (snakes, lizards, frogs, crayfish). Its condition is very good, without chips or repairs, only some irregularities from creation process and a small scratch from manufacture, visible only from an angle. Reverse of the piece has a smooth polished surface creating a stunning effect of three-dimensionality (penultimate picture). Photos were realised in different UV lighting conditions, so the viewer can develop an accurate and real impression of the piece (see last picture). Size— Height - 12.3cm, Length - 17cm, Weight - 489g. Safe & fast shipment traceable by tracking number!
