Material: White metal acid tested POSITIVE for platinum after 3 minutes (streak remains, photo included). Construction typical of the period: platinum settings on 18k yellow gold backing - platinum on gold (platine sur or). The two-tone construction is clearly visible on the back (grey-white platinum cups and warm yellow gold gallery). Weight 5.8g. No visible hallmark due to wear on the bail, common for this period. Acid test photos included. Stones: • Approx. 32-35 old mine / old European cut diamonds, eye-white, SI to Piqué, total estimated weight 1.2 to 1.8 ct. Millegrain setting. • Approx. 11 calibre-cut blue sapphires, channel set in a curved line, total estimated 0.30-0.50 ct. Deep blue color. Condition: Good antique condition. All stones present. Light patina and micro-scratches consistent with age. No repairs visible. Old cut diamonds with typical inclusions. Provenance: Private collection, South of France. A very elegant and highly collectible Art Deco piece with excellent presence.
