Rare white-creamy Indonesian Megalodon tooth 4.37 inch (11.1 cm) long x 3.11 inch (7.9 cm) wide It is very beautiful and rare Megalodon tooth in white color with creamy touch. No doubt black & dark bluish Megalodon tooth are in high demand but their is no doubt white Megalodon tooth have their own charm and beauty. Due to natural underlying geological conditions, such teeth are rare. It is also observed that white Megalodon teeth by looks and condition looks much older than commonly found orange and brown Megalodon teeth. One reason might be that fossil is first coverted to yellowish and brownish toned color through commonly occurring Iran compound like pyrite. The pyrite then get replaced by aluminium compounds like pyrophyllite which then turns yellow-brown tones teeth into white teeth. Condition wise speaking, this tooth is in very good length of 4.37 inches (11.1 cm) length wise and widthwise it is 3.11 inch (7.9 cm). The tooth has strong sense of *oldness* to it but still its enamel and serrations are mostly intact. On the top on lingual side, there is interesting fingerprint like pattern as indicated in the photo. The tooth also has white lightening streaks which occurs in fossils when fossil interact with plant material like roots over the course of million of years and this tooth has an age on average around 10 million years. There is some natural erosion at the tip region on the labial side which points to usage of tooth during the time when Megalodon was alive. The root region is perforated and eroded due to fossilization process with yellowish tone to it and the bourlette is also eroded. The root and bourlette also indicates the *old* looks of this unique specimen. The root has been re-enforced by adding extra material to make it long lasting but principally all original tooth is present as it as retrieved from the ground. Please refer to photos for details of this beautiful specimen both interms of palaeontology and geology.
