An exceptional natural peridot with an intense olive green color comes from renowned deposits in Pakistan. It is a natural, uncut crystal suitable for collectors. Occurs mainly in ultrabasic and igneous rocks. The Romans called it the “evening emerald” because it shone even in low light. Crystals from Pakistan are among the highest quality in the world. Peridot is common as a granular mineral in basalts and peridotites, but large, well-developed crystals are relatively rare.
