Vintage RAADVAD No. 6 – Danish Cast Iron Bread Slicer – Beautiful Blue Finish – Mid-20th Century

A beautiful and authentic vintage Danish bread slicer by RAADVAD, model No. 6, featuring an elegant light-blue cast-iron body, golden lettering and a natural wooden bread platform.

RAADVAD is one of Denmark’s historic manufacturers, with roots dating back to 1758. The company became widely recognised for its high-quality cutting tools, knives and traditional kitchen equipment.

This charming bread slicer represents a wonderful example of Danish craftsmanship and functional Scandinavian design.

Its distinctive curved construction, solid cast-iron frame and beautifully shaped wooden platform reflect the quality and durability of traditional kitchen equipment.

The soft blue finish, contrasting golden lettering and warm natural wood create a particularly attractive combination, making this piece both a practical kitchen tool and a decorative vintage object.

Exceptional Blade Condition

One of the most remarkable features of this particular bread slicer is the excellent condition of its cutting blade.

The blade appears exceptionally well preserved, with a clean, bright metal surface and very little visible evidence of previous use.

Despite the vintage age of the slicer, the blade has an almost new appearance, suggesting that the item may have seen very limited use.

This beautifully preserved blade contrasts with the authentic patina of the cast-iron body, giving the piece a particularly interesting character.

Condition

The bread slicer is in attractive vintage condition.

The cast-iron frame displays authentic signs of age, including areas of paint wear, scratches and surface oxidation, which contribute to its genuine industrial vintage charm.

The wooden bread platform is beautifully preserved, with its distinctive grooves and warm natural finish.

The cutting blade is in excellent visual condition, appearing almost unused.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and provide a detailed view of the item’s condition.
